Choosing a Color or Theme

So you want to decorate your kitchen? Where do you even start? With so many options out there you have to start small and work your way up. The first thing to decide on is a color or theme that you want to decorate after. This gives you a foundation to get started. Once you decide on that you can start to pick out all of the things that would fit appropriately.

For example my kitchen has all white appliances. I wanted to add more color into my kitchen so I went with a red, yellow, green and black theme. When thinking of ideas that matched my colors, I came up with a hot peppers theme. I went out and bought hot pepper towels, wall decorations and even hot pads. I even got a couple paintings that add a lot of color to the kitchen and have a hot pepper theme! Once you add all of the decorations you are ready for any finishing touches that you feel might be missing.

For a finishing touch I bought colored paper napkins to add to the theme. This is an inexpensive way to dress your kitchen up with out hurting your pocket book! Next time you want to spice up your kitchen remember to start small and it will all come together!
