Planting New Flowers

The time has come to plant some new flowers in my front and backyard. On mothers day I went to my grandma’s house and she gave me about 15 new flowers to plant.

She gave me potted plants called impatiens, and a variety of bulbs for different Tulips and Daffodils. I planted them as soon as I got home. We will see if the plants I planted this spring will pop up next spring. I cannot wait to see how these flowers turn out.

My front yard has a small area that is shaded from the sun and rain. This can be difficult area to grow plants in so I have to be very careful what I try to plant. A few years ago I planted many different plants in this area. To my surprise not many of these plants survived. Which had to do with the fact that they were not the right type of plants to plant.

There were two main plants that have survived and they are looking pretty good!  When planting flowers it is just a fact that not all of them will survive. Never get discouraged if you plants end up dyeing – it is not your fault – just part of the game.
